China,Jenchuan: 1898 (25 July) printed envelope from E. Meyer & Co., KOREA, to the Chartered Bank of India, Australia & China in Shanghai "per 'S.S. Vostock'" bearing 2c. deep orange with sheet margin at right and 4c. bistre-brown from the lower left corner of the sheet with selvedge on two sides, tied by "Customs/Jenchuan" c.d.s., with "Shanghai" dollar dater (27.7) and "Shanghai/Local Post" arrival c.d.s. (28.7) on reverse, the envelope has a light vertical filing fold at left, very fine and rare usage. Chan 94, 95. Estimate HK$ 50,000 - 60,000 Provenance: Group Captain C.F.
