<판매자의 설명>

Rare photographic supplement to the Historical Diary HQ 1st Marine Division.  It appears to be a 57 page official sequence of photos beginning Sep1950 of the 1st Marine activities in Korea from the landing to Seoul. The vast majority of pages have 2 photos with only a couple of pages starting a new activity that is like a title page and they have one photo on that page (ie. the Inchon page shown here).  Over 100 photos.

Page size is about 8 by 10 inches.  Glossy pages and glossy photos. Most photos are about 4 1/2 by 3 inches.  All B&W.  Many of them are very sharp and clear.  A few have a brownish tint that detracts some.  The front cover is quite worn with edge chipping, soiling, creasing, a little loose etc - a below average cover.  A very few other pages also have some edge wear/chipping noticeable as the hung out a little.  By far most pages inside are smooth, clean, and problem free - may have a small corner bend.  They are nice sharp photos for the most part. An occasional age spot will show up.

Page right after the cover,  the next page is a title page,  and says Embarkation Kobe Japan 1-10 September 1950 with a photo loading equipment aboard LSTs 8 Sep.  Just 2 other photos on embarkation and then a title page Wolmi Island Landing.  Several pages of Wolmi Island Landing photos - landing scenes, tanks, beaches, 76MM gun etc.  Then the Inchon Title page (no more title pages left) and many pages of photos - landing, battle scenes ,tanks, MacArthur , POWs, atrocity victims, marching POWs through Inchon streets, helping wounded, Yak fighter plane downed, views of Kimpo, more tanks and troops, pontoon barge, POWS at Han river, Seoul scenes with tanks and destroyed areas and buildings, more POW photos (some women) and several more Seoul shots with people.  Again many quite clear and sharp but many not so clear but solid anyway.  Great photo album of 1st Marine Div from embarkation to Inchon and arriving at Seoul.  Photos and corresponding descriptions are part of the glossy page - not separate. Photos probably taken by a professional or full time photographer and many are quite high quality and rare vivid shots.
